Brock Lesnar announced on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, that he has retired from professional wrestling. Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, Lesnar said he is retired and confirmed that his SummerSlam 2026 appearance was his final in-ring match. The announcement closes a career that spanned WWE, UFC, and NCAA amateur wrestling.
Lesnar's last match came at SummerSlam 2026 Night 1 on Saturday, August 1, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, where he lost to rising star Oba Femi inside Hell in a Cell. The bout was the third meeting between the two, with Femi completing a trilogy sweep. After the loss, Lesnar put Femi over as the future of the business and referred to himself as the past.
A former WWE Champion and UFC Heavyweight Champion, Lesnar first debuted in WWE in 2002 and headlined numerous WrestleMania and SummerSlam events across more than two decades. WWE has not announced any further appearances for him.
