The MFTs (Talla Tonga and Tama Tonga, with Haku) defeated R-Truth and Damian Priest and the War Raiders in a triple threat to win the WWE Tag Team Championship. Later, Jacy Jayne, accompanied by Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid, defeated Tiffany Stratton to capture the WWE Women’s United States Championship.
Elsewhere on the card, Baron Corbin retained the United States Championship against Carmelo Hayes before being attacked by Trick Williams and Lil Yachty, and GUNTHER defeated Matt Cardona by submission. Interim Women’s Champion Chelsea Green was given 30 days by SmackDown authority figure Nick Aldis to be cleared and defend her title.
The broadcast closed with Randy Orton ambushing Cody Rhodes before his scheduled match with Sami Zayn, setting up a Rhodes-Orton bout for Sunday Night’s Main Event. CM Punk and Kevin Owens also had a face-to-face to build their upcoming WWE Championship match.
