The Bloodline saga moved forward as Jey Uso delivered Solo Sikoa to Roman Reigns, with Sikoa making his choice in the ongoing conflict between the two sides. Elsewhere on the card, Sol Ruca defeated Lyra Valkyria, and Je’Von Evans beat JD McDonagh despite interference from Dominik Mysterio.
In the evening’s title match, Chad Gable retained the Intercontinental Championship against Rey Mysterio, his second defense since dethroning Penta at SummerSlam on August 2. The contenders tournament continues on the August 24 episode of Raw, with semifinal bouts announced including Penta versus LA Parka and Dragon Lee against Rey Fenix.
