Atlantis

Atlantis is lucha libre's living monument — a CMLL institution since 1983 whose silver-and-blue mask remains among the most famous in Mexican history. His Atlantida torture rack has submitted four decades of rudos, and his mask-versus-mask victories are the stuff of national legend.

His 2014 Anniversary Show match against Último Guerrero — mask against mask, Arena México shaking — is considered one of the greatest lucha matches ever, and his unmaskings of Villano III and Guerrero rank among the most emotional moments in the sport's history.

Now wrestling a legends' schedule while his son Atlantis Jr. carries the name forward, Atlantis embodies lucha libre's generational soul. WrestleRanks voters rank him as the institution he is: the idol of Arena México, permanently.
