Danhausen

Danhausen is wrestling's very nice, very evil paradox — the face-painted curse-dispenser whose deadpan comedy and jar of teeth became independent wrestling's most successful character export of the streaming era. Equal parts Conan O'Brien sketch and horror-movie mascot.

His ROH cult following exploded into AEW stardom despite debuting with a broken leg and rarely wrestling — proof of connection-over-content that conventional wisdom said impossible. His pairing with Hook birthed HookHausen, briefly wrestling's most merchandised friendship.

The character's discipline is the joke's engine: Danhausen never breaks. WrestleRanks voters rank him very nicely, fearing the alternative curse-hausen.
