Orange Cassidy

Orange Cassidy is wrestling's greatest deconstruction — the King of Sloth Style, hands in pockets, offering lazy shin kicks until the moment the glasses come off and one of the best wrestlers alive appears. What began as an independent-scene parody act became one of AEW's most valuable franchises.

His International Championship run of 2023 was a workhorse marvel: over 30 defenses, wrestling through injury on nearly every show, converting comedy equity into underdog drama. Matches with Will Ospreay, Jon Moxley and Pac proved the joke was always a delivery system for excellence — freshly squeezed excellence.

Beloved by casual fans and critics alike, Cassidy is AEW's most reliable connective tissue between comedy, workrate and heart. WrestleRanks voters rank him surprisingly high, which is, of course, the whole gimmick.
