SANADA

SANADA is New Japan's beautiful enigma — the Cold Skull whose effortless athleticism, Muta-trained pedigree and man-of-few-words cool made him a fan favorite through a decade with Los Ingobernables de Japon. His Skull End dragon sleeper and picture-perfect moonsault bookend one of wrestling's smoothest movesets.

In 2023 he finally stepped from Tetsuya Naito's shadow, leaving LIJ for Just 5 Guys and promptly winning the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship — vindication for years of nearly-man status in G1 finals and title challenges. His reign brought main-event classics against Yota Tsuji and David Finlay.

A protégé of the Great Muta who wears the legacy lightly, SANADA remains among Japan's most naturally gifted performers. WrestleRanks voters rank him on ceiling: when the Cold Skull runs hot, few can match him.
