Thunder Rosa

Thunder Rosa carried lucha libre's soul into AEW's main events — La Mera Mera, whose face-painted intensity and Tijuana-honed toughness produced the promotion's most storied women's match: the 2021 Lights Out war with Britt Baker, wrestled in blood and thumbtacks, that legitimized the division forever.

She won the AEW Women's World Championship in 2022 in her adopted Texas home, a career culmination interrupted cruelly by a back injury that cost her the title and years of momentum. Her return restored one of wrestling's most authentic voices — a former social worker who built her own promotion, Mission Pro, to develop women's talent.

Painted like the Day of the Dead and fighting like it is her last, Rosa remains AEW's lucha heart. WrestleRanks voters rank her on legacy already banked: the match that changed the division has her name on it.
