AEW held its first-ever Redemption pay-per-view on Sunday night, July 26, from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Kenny Omega retained the AEW World Championship in the main event, pinning TNT Champion Kevin Knight with a One-Winged Angel after a nearly 25-minute contest.
The post-match angle set up Omega's next title defense against Will Ospreay at All In from Wembley Stadium next month. After the Jon Moxley-led Death Riders swarmed Omega, Ospreay turned on the faction and handed Omega the belt, only for Omega to immediately lay Ospreay out with a One-Winged Angel to close the show.
The card also produced multiple new champions. Willow Nightingale defeated Thekla to win the AEW Women's World Championship, becoming the promotion's first women's Triple Crown winner and setting up a Wembley match with Mercedes Mone. Maya World took the TBS Championship from Hikaru Shida, Andrade El Idolo captured the National Championship, and Kyle Fletcher retained the International title over Bandido.
