WWE and SiriusXM announced on July 23 the launch of WWE Radio, a new 24/7 channel arriving Monday, July 27 on SiriusXM channel 156. Billed as the official audio home of WWE, the channel will replace the existing Pro Wrestling Nation channel. The partnership was confirmed through an official WWE corporate press release and SiriusXM.
WWE Radio will carry live play-by-play audio of WWE Premium Live Events, beginning with SummerSlam on August 1 and 2 in Minneapolis, with Vic Joseph and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T on the call. Regular programming includes SiriusXM daily shows such as Busted Open and podcasts hosted by Cody Rhodes, Stephanie McMahon and The Undertaker, plus audio coverage of WrestleMania, Royal Rumble and Survivor Series.
Elsewhere, AEW confirmed CMLL star Mistico is not medically cleared for Redemption on July 26 in Montreal after a left knee injury. Tony Khan replaced Mistico's planned International Title number-one contender bout with a six-way ladder match and said he is optimistic Mistico returns for Grand Slam: Mexico on August 5.
