Roughly a dozen wrestlers released by WWE after WrestleMania 42 officially became free agents on July 23, 2026, as their 90-day non-compete clauses expired. The group includes Kairi Sane, Aleister Black, Zelina Vega, Santos Escobar, Zoey Stark, the Motor City Machine Guns, Bo Dallas, Erick Rowan, Nikki Cross, Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis, according to reports from Fightful and Wrestling Inc.
The talent is now free to sign with other promotions such as AEW, TNA or NJPW. Kairi Sane and Zelina Vega are viewed as among the most sought-after names, though Vega has publicly indicated interest in pursuing acting. Sane, a former IWGP Women's Champion, exits WWE with an unresolved storyline involving IYO SKY and Asuka.
Elsewhere, AEW holds its Redemption pay-per-view on Sunday from the Bell Centre in Montreal, with Tony Khan confirming an earlier 6 p.m. ET start time. TNA Impact aired the same night, headlined by Nic Nemeth defending the TNA World Title against KC Navarro.
