Wrestler Profile

Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan is the wrestler who took professional wrestling from regional territories to global entertainment. As the face of the WWF from 1984 onward, Hulkamania powered the first WrestleMania, record television audiences and a merchandising empire that made him a household name far beyond wrestling.

His 1996 heel turn in WCW — becoming Hollywood Hogan and founding the New World Order with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall — is one of the most influential moments in the industry's history, igniting the Monday Night Wars and proving that wrestling's biggest hero could reinvent himself as its biggest villain. He is a multi-time world champion in both WWF and WCW.

Hogan's in-ring career wound down through the 2000s with nostalgia runs and a celebrated WrestleMania X8 match against The Rock. He remains a defining, and at times controversial, figure — and a permanent fixture in WrestleRanks all-time voting.

Hulk Hogan is associated with WWE (1991–2002), WCW (defunct) (1994–2000) and NJPW.
