R-Truth

R-Truth is wrestling's greatest comedian and one of its most quietly enduring performers. Ron Killings has been a professional wrestler since the late 1990s, was the first Black NWA World Heavyweight Champion during his TNA run, and has reinvented himself across four decades of television.

His 24/7 Championship era — winning and losing the title in airports, golf courses and moving vehicles — showcased comic timing that made him a viral machine. The childlike Truth persona, forever confusing storylines and calling John Cena his childhood hero despite being older than Cena, became beloved precisely because the man underneath is so skilled.

His Judgment Day squatter storyline and emotional tag title win at WrestleMania 40 proved comedy characters can pay off big. WrestleRanks voters keep Truth in the mix because joy, it turns out, is a ranking category. What's up?
