Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns is the defining WWE star of the 2020s. After debuting as the powerhouse of The Shield in 2012 and spending years as the company's chosen but resisted top babyface, everything clicked in 2020 when he returned as the Tribal Chief — a villainous family patriarch acknowledged by the Bloodline and advised by Paul Heyman.

His Undisputed WWE Universal Championship reign stretched past 1,300 days, the longest world title run of the modern era, built on cinematic Bloodline storytelling with the Usos, Solo Sikoa and Sami Zayn that became WWE's best weekly drama. The reign ended when Cody Rhodes finished his story at WrestleMania 40.

A member of the sprawling Anoa'i wrestling dynasty, Reigns now works a reduced schedule, appearing for major storylines and premium live events. When the Tribal Chief is active, WrestleRanks voters respond — few wrestlers move the weekly rankings like him.
